When individual capacity allows, members are encouraged to help in simple ways like assisting with setting up or cleaning before and after programs. Now and then, we also appreciate assistance with special events. Depending on project demands, compassionate volunteers will be recruited from the wider Thunder Bay community and/or provided by supportive community partners. Otherwise, we prioritize seeking volunteers within our network of members.

We are amidst founding Mindful Makers, thus guidance and support from individuals who are passionate about innovative governance models and/or have worked in the non-profit system is helpful. We prioritize working with those who have experience as a practicing artist, hold similar values as the collective, and ideally, reside in Northwest Ontario.

To assist with our strategic direction, we are currently seeking volunteers in the following areas:

• Bookkeeping

• Business plan writing

• Developing anti-oppressive polices and practices

• Editing

• Grant writing
