Join Mindful Makers for Open Studio + Show and Share on Tuesday, June 17, hosted by Tuija Hansen!

Open Studio + Show and Share

At the start of Open Studio, we invite you to bring an artwork to Show and Share with the group! This can be an artwork completed or in process that you have been working on at home, during Open Studio, or as a Crafting Community for Climate Action participant! Use the remaining studio time to mingle and create in a shared working environment. You’re welcome to bring a creative project and supplies from home to use and/or share. Instruction is not provided, but skills sharing is always welcomed.

Participation is free and registration is not required. Drop-in between 1-4 pm, Room # MV2006 (upstairs), Lakehead University’s Music and Visual Arts Building. Light refreshments provided!

By participating in our programs, you agree to follow our Community Agreement, outlined in our membership handbook.

Accessibility

Notes:

We are fragrance free. Scented products often contain toxic ingredients which affect people in our community that suffer from Multiple Chemical Sensitivities or Environmental Illnesses. Fragrances can have mild to debilitating effects on individuals—often lasting days. We ask that you refrain from using products that are scented.

Many Collective members live with compromised immune systems and/or chronic illness. So please do not attend our programs if you are experiencing any cold/flu symptoms. Masks are optional and provided.

This location is wheelchair accessible.

Transportation

and Parking:

City buses stop at the University, and metered parking is available nearby for $1.50 / hour. Parking passes are also available at the Pay and Display machine for the same hourly rate.

To locate the William H. Buset Music and Visual Arts Building, view the campus map. It is located off the Agora Circle, near the bike shed.

Thank you

We would like to thank and acknowledge the support we’ve received from the Ontario Arts Council, Government of ON, Mindful Makers Collective, Goods Co. Market, The Lakehead University Music and Visual Arts Department, Eco-Superior, and the community of Thunder Bay!
